Welcome to an album of photos I took at the 2005 Reno National Air Races, Stead Airport, Reno, Nevada.
All of these photos were taken on Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 during a day of Heat races and air show exhibitions. The final races took place on Sunday, 9/18/2005. Results have been added where appropriate as an update.

Sport - Thunder Mustang Completed and Flying
This TM was on display in front of the American Racing hangar and has been completed by a husband and wife team and is flying (not racing). Claimed they spent 5yrs and 8000 hrs. to build. The cowl was off showing the Falconer V-12 engine, a real piece of art. This engine is 604 cu. in. and develops about 700 hp, normally aspirated. It has a geared reduction drive, fuel injection, electronic ignition, dry sump, all the good stuff. :) John Parker also has nitrous on his, but we don't know if he has used it yet.
