Welcome to an album of photos I took at the 2005 Reno National Air Races, Stead Airport, Reno, Nevada. All of these photos were taken on Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 during a day of Heat races and air show exhibitions. The final races took place on Sunday, 9/18/2005. Results have been added where appropriate as an update. Photos by Joe Cook. Camera Olympus D-490Z Digital Zoom. Photos were taken at 1600x1200 resolution and reduced to 800x600 with Irfanview software.

Sport class- Darryl Greenamyer's Lancair Legacy - Race 33

Darryl qualified 2nd fast in the Sport class at 358.4 mph. He is a multi-year winner in the class with his Conti TSIO-550 turbo supercharged engine. The Thunder Mustang of John Parker is his #1 competition. Parker won last year. Results for 2005 show Darryl won the Sport class Gold at a speed of 364.9.
