Welcome to an album of photos I took at the 2005 Reno National Air Races, Stead Airport, Reno, Nevada.
All of these photos were taken on Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 during a day of Heat races and air show exhibitions. The final races took place on Sunday, 9/18/2005. Results have been added where appropriate as an update.

Unlimited - Rare Bear Leading
Rare Bear led Heat 2A Gold from the start. Turned the first lap at 475 mph and then backed it off to run circa 453-455 mph. Dreadnaught ran 2nd the entire race but seemed not to pose much of a threat to The Bear. 2005 results show Rare Bear won the Gold at a speed of 466.3 mph. Dreadnaught was 2nd.
